Another big year for football in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne with five former EFL juniors set to take their place on AFL lists.

All players drafted from the EFL came through our two TAC Cup affiliates with four drafted from the Eastern Ranges and one from the Chargers.

The draft also threw up one of the stories of the night with bolter Josh Begley taken at Pick 31 after being overlooked for the Eastern Ranges at the start of the season!

Take a look at where the domino’s fell tonight and the clubs that are responsible for their success:

Pick 15 Adelaide – Jordan Gallucci (Eastern Ranges)
Lilydale Football and Netball Club/ Croydon Football Club

Pick 22 Essendon – Jordan Ridley (Oakleigh Chargers)
East Burwood Football Club/ Knox Falcons FC

Pick 31 Essendon – Josh Begley(Eastern Ranges)
Upper Ferntree Gully Football Netball Club

45 – Sydney Swans – Jack Maibaum (Eastern Ranges)
Scoresby FC/ Rowville Football Club/ Knox Falcons FC

63 – Essendon –  Dylan Clarke  (Eastern Ranges)
Rowville Football Club/ Knox Falcons FC

Those who missed selection will have another chance on Monday with the Pre-season and Rookie drafts.

Congratulations not only to the players drafted but the seven clubs that played a part in the development of all five players!
