The Eastern Football League has concluded its 2017 AFL Victoria Metro Junior Championships carnival with a 38-point loss to Yarra Junior Football League in the under-15s Division A grand final.

Despite a slow start with the YJFL taking a 14-point lead into the quarter-time break, the EFL fought back gallantly for the ensuing two quarters, kicking six goals to four to draw within seven points of the YJFL at three quarter-time.

While the end 38-point result didn’t reflect the endeavour of the EFL, the final term however saw a burst of five goals to the YJFL to claim the Division 1A championship.

An even contribution across the board saw all single goals kicked for the EFL, while Connor Downie and Salele Feagaimalii featured among the best players.
