In a dramatic day in Division 3, Templestowe has come from behind at three-quarter time to all but end Boronia’s season. The Hawks burst out of the blocks early, kicking the opening three majors for the match before the Dockers hit back in the second term. An arm-wrestle ensued in the third term before the floodgates opened for the Hawks, taking a 15-point lead into the final change. Led by Oliver Lodge with two final quarter goals, the home side rallied to kick four final quarter goals, hitting the front at the 19-minute mark through John-Paul Malietzis.

Heathmont’s victory over South Belgrave means the Jets sneak into fifth position, while Boronia will miss the finals in 2017.
