Nick Malceski undeniably found his stride in the second half of 2015, playing the final 12 games to end his maiden season at Metricon Stadium on an average of 16.6 disposals and 11.4 kicks.
The 2014 All Australian defender had his crowning season moment against Greater Western Sydney in round 16, where he was not only damaging with his famous left foot, but also the architect from deep in defence. Along with young gun Kade Kolodjashnij, the pair combined to provide plenty of drive.
While 2015 was a frustrating year for the former Sydney Swans premiership player, 2016 will undoubtedly give the 31-year-old the chance to not only demonstrate his widely noted leadership but push an already exceptional back-line to new heights.
