A surprise packet in his draft year of 2012, Taylor Garner came from nowhere to become a top prospect.
Firstly it was a bolt into the TAC Cup for Dandenong, playing in Round 1 despite a knee injury keeping him out of pre-season matches.
Then Garner frequently dislocated his shoulder playing for Vic Country during the Under 18 National Championships. He received an All-Australian selection as reward for his impressive efforts, averaging almost 15 disposals and 3.5 tackles a game.
