REDBACKS APPOINT ROWE

RINGWOOD FOOTBALL CLUB OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Ringwood Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Brett Rowe as senior coach for season 2018.

Brett had a successful career as a player, where he was drafted to Fitzroy before playing the majority of his years at Box Hill. Brett came to Ringwood in 2003 as a playing senior assistant coach which included winning the 2005 Division 2 premiership.

After leaving Ringwood, Brett has held head coaching positions in the VAFA at Ormond and Yarra Valley, and most recently was a senior assistant coach at East Ringwood for the 2017 season.

We are also very happy to announce that another former Ringwood premiership player from 2005, Kyle Matthews will be returning to the club as a playing assistant coach. Kyle won the Division 2 EFL best and fairest in our 2005 premiership year.

Since leaving RFC, Kyle has had an outstanding career. He played 8 years of VFL football, captaining the Casey Scorpions from 2008-2012 and being named in the VFL Team of the Year on multiple occasions.

He has spent the last few years as a playing assistant coach at both Blackburn and more recently Seaford football clubs and is looking forward to sharing his wealth of football knowledge with our young group.

Please join us in welcoming Brett, Nat and their daughters Lyla and Billie, along with Kyle and his wife Micayla back to Ringwood. We wish them all the best for the upcoming season. Go Redbacks!
