2019 Bendigo Bank Netball EFL Premier Division

 

Boronia held off a fourth-quarter South Croydon rally to hold on for a thrilling 34-33 victory. After trailing by one at quarter time, the Hawks piled on 12 second-quarter goals to establish a four-goal half time lead, before extending the lead to seven heading into the final term. South Croydon came storming home with 11 goals to Boronia’s 5 in the fourth, but the Hawks held on for an important win coming out of their bye.

Meanwhile, Lilydale have thumped Heathmont 48-27, courtesy of 29 Kiarralee Luiyf goals. The Falcons’ shooter helped her side establish an eight-goal buffer by quarter time, which would only grow as the game went on. Lilydale heaped on 13 goals in the fourth quarter, with Ashlee Murphy getting in on the act with 19 goals of her own, as the Falcons ran out 21-goal winners.

East Burwood Black made light work of Blackburn Red. The Black led at every change, before scoring 11 goals to three in the final term to record a comfortable 18-goal victory.

2019 Bendigo Bank Netball EFL Division 1

 

Knox pulled off an incredible comeback against Ferntree Gully in Round 6 Division 1 action. Gully shot out to a six-goal lead at quarter time, before having their margin cut to three at the half. The red-hot Jessica Teunissen wouldn’t be denied though, as her 24 goals helped Knox back in front by one at the final interval. Teunissen was well supported by Jennifer Gardner (17 goals) as Knox poured in 11 goals to six in the final period to record a six-goal victory.

Montrose eased past North Ringwood for a 39-25 victory. 26 goals to the Demons’ Jessica Elwood ensured her side led at every change.

Elsewhere, Coldstream Grey held Scoresby at arm’s length to secure a four-goal win. Belinda Williams (26 goals) did all she could to lift the Swoopers, but they could do nothing to assail the Grey’s lead, falling four goals short.

Alanna Lennie poured in 33 goals as Kilsyth recorded a 13-goal victory over Park Orchards White. Park Orchards remained within touching distance through three quarters before a 15-goal fourth quarter onslaught saw the Cougars come away with a 13-goal win.

2019 Bendigo Bank Netball EFL Division 2

 

The Basin Red recorded a comfortable 16-goal win over Norwood Purple. Mandy Simpson scored 25 goals as The Basin opened up an 11-goal lead at halftime that proved unassailable.

A strong defensive fourth quarter showing from Kilsyth saw them edge out Blackburn 30-25. The Black held touch with the Cougars through three quarters and trailed by just one heading into the final term. But Kilsyth restricted Blackburn’s scorers Jessica Laird (13 goals) and Kristina Fan (12 goals) to just three combined fourth quarter goals. Meanwhile Adriana Hawkins (16 goals) and Gemma Langdon (14 goals) added seven of their own to ensure a five-goal win.

North Ringwood White’s Emily Salmon (23 goals) was dominant as her side led at every change in a 34-19 rout of Knox, while Croydon piled on 22 goals to 6 in the second half of their match with Lilydale Gold to run out 37-15 victors.

Park Orchards and Whitehorse played out a defensive struggle, with the Red grinding out an 18-14 victory. Park orchards’ Emmerson Buckland proved the difference, as she scored 10 goals to lead all comers.

North Ringwood snatched a 27-25 victory from the hands of Ferntree Gully Yellow. In a close encounter, the Red trailed by two points at half time and three quarter time before scoring eight goals to four in the final term to reverse the deficit.

2019 Bendigo Bank Netball EFL Division 3

 

Chirnside led Rowville from start to finish as they recorded a 27-20 victory. Panthers shooters Tracy Cornish (15 goals) and Anna Grigg (12 goals) proved too much to handle for the Rowville defence.

Ferntree Gully crusied to a 38-23 victory over Vermont thanks to the combination of Jacqueline De Ieso (21 goals) and Christa Vagg (17 goals), while Ringwood Red made light work of Whitehorse White in a 34-20 victory.

Croydon North MLOC stole a 23-21 victory from Heathmont White despite trailing at every interval. Croydon North’s Paris Saunders (18 goals) was instrumental as her side scored nine goals to six in the final term to pinch a two-goal win.

Ringwood Red, South Croydon White and Glen Waverley Blue all recorded comfortable Round 6 victories. Paige Rondinella was the pick of the scorers with 24 goals to lead all comers in Division 3.

2019 Bendigo Bank Netball EFL Division 4

 

Norwood Gold’s Sharnie Gray (18 goals) and Kate Teijeiro (14 goals) made light work of Upper Ferntree Gully’s defence to record a 32-23 victory. Norwood flew out of the blocks and created a 12-goal half time lead before coasting home to a 9-goal win.

Mitcham’s Georgia Fairbarn (25 goals) and Annalies Oppawsky (22 goals) were in dominant form as they defeated Knox Red 47-25. After a free-scoring first half saw Mitcham leading by four at the main break, the Yellow piled on 25 goals to seven in the second half to record a big win.

Park Orchards Black’s McKenzie Tilley scored 21 goals in her side’s 12-goal victory over Scoresby, while Sarah Billingham scored 24 goals in Coldstream White’s 19-goal demolition of Heathmont.

Lilydale Blue held off a spirited fourth-quarter effort form Boronia to walk away 31-27 victors. The Brown scored nine goals to six in the final term, but the combination of Kayla Toomer (20 goals) and Alicia Taylor (11 goals) saw Lilydale over the line.

Sarah Caldow scored 22 goals as the Montrose Flames scraped past The Basin Green 28-26, while 21 combined goals from Keeley Hocking (11 goals) and Ashleigh Henry (10 goals) saw Kilsyth edge South Croydon 21-17.

2019 Bendigo Bank Netball EFL Division 5

 

Mitcham Black outlasted Heathmont Yellow in a 24-23 victory that went down to the wire. With scores tied at 16 apiece heading into the fourth quarter, Mitcham’s Jessica Repalust (20 goals) stepped up to will her side to victory.

Nunawading continued their white-hot form with a 46-15 demolition-job of Coldstream Blue. Maya Kolevich (21 goals) and Chelsea Noble (19 goals) were unstoppable, as both single-handedly outscored the Blue.

Ringwood Black’s Abbey Jordanov scored 22 goals as her side eased by South Croydon Blue 30-14, while Briony Strongman poured in 21 as the Waverley Blues beat Wantirna South Green 28-20.

Meanwhile, Norwood and South Belgrave Black played out a thrilling 26-26 tie. The Woodettes trailed at every break, but clawed back the Black’s lead in courtesy of a nine-goal-to-six final term. Madelaine Cook scored 12 goals for South Belgrave, while Holly Kruse (11 goals) and Jenna McCoy (11 goals) were also in double-figures for Norwood.

2019 Bendigo Bank Netball EFL Division 6

 

Balwyn continue to look like the team to beat in Division 6 as they took care of Montrose 34-22. The result was never in doubt as the Tigers led at every change. Olivia Clear maintained her stellar shooting form with another 20 goals.

A barnstorming fourth quarter from Wantirna South White has seen them record a six-goal victory over Ringwood White. With scores tied at 17 apiece at three-quarter time, Jessica Hall (19 goals) helped Wantirna South score 11 goals to 5 in the final period.

Hannah Jefferis dropped in 31 goals as Glen Waverley Yellow crushed Knox White 45-24, while Brianna Mollison and Madison Farragher each scored 17 goals for Ferntree Gully Blue as they beat Mulgrave Blue 34-19.

Meanwhile, South Belgrave’s combination of Renee Rollings (16 goals) and Taylah Murphy (15 goals) proved too much for Coldstream Black in a 31-27 victory.

2019 Bendigo Bank Netball EFL Division 7

 

The Basin led from the start as they recorded a comfortable 26-17 win over Coldstream. Kayla Nealy was impressive with 22 goals for the Bears, while Lauren Caldwell provided some resistance for Coldstream with 11 goals.

Norwood White brushed aside Ferntree Gully in a 28-15 victory. Caitlin Conway and Samantha Prosenak both scored 12 goals as Norwood outscored Gully 16-7 in the second half.

Lilydale Yellow ground out a thrilling 16-15 victory over Glen Waverley Black. The Yellow led at every interval, with Glen Waverley keeping the deficit to just one goal for much of the contest. Contributions from Jaimii Young (7 goals), Alicia Weston (6 goals) and Hayley Burke (3 goals) ensured the close victory for Lilydale.
